  • Exploring the Heart: A Video Retreat

  • With A. H. Almaas (Hameed Ali)

  • November 1 – 3, 2013

  • Program Description:

The heart is what possesses the truth sense, not the mind. The mind can discriminate and know, but it is the heart that ascertains whether it is the truth. Since the Beloved is the ultimate truth, only the heart will know it for certain.

This retreat will address the deeper strata of the heart in its functioning to recognize and express the truth. The focus will be on how the essential truth transforms and develops the heart to become a conduit for its functioning. This retreat is intended only for Diamond Approach students who have started the Soul portion of the DA curriculum. Ask your teacher if you qualify. It will be a video presentation of Hameed’s winter retreat on the heart in Berkeley California, and will be assisted by Diamond Approach® teachers Jane Bronson and Anne Singer.

This event is a co-benefit for the Berkeley Ridhwan Center and Guest House.

  • About the Facilitators:

    A. H. Almaas, (Hameed Ali) is the originator of the Diamond Approach®, a path of self-realization and human maturity based on an original synthesis of modern discoveries in the field of psychology and a new paradigm about spiritual nature. He is also the founder of the Ridhwan School, and has been teaching individuals around the world for the past 35 years. He is the author of over a dozen books, including Luminous Night’s Journey, Essence, Facets of Unity, Pearl Beyond Price and The Unfolding Now.

Jane Bronson is a Diamond Approach® teacher and a 20-year student of the Ridhwan School. She assists the Diamond Approach® New York (DANY) group and has individual students in New York City and Canandaigua, NY. Currently Jane also serves on the Guest House Board of Directors in several capacities. Her fascination with understanding reality led Jane to pursue her degree in physics. In discovering the Diamond Approach® in 1992, she found a pathway for satisfying that love.

Anne Singer is a Diamond Approach® teacher and part of the teaching team for two New York-area Diamond Approach® groups—Emerald Mountain 3 and DANY (Diamond Approach® New York.) She works with students both individually and in smaller process groups. Anne holds a B.A. in Modern Languages and Literatures from Cambridge University, England; a Master of Philosophy degree in German from George Washington University; and is a licensed psychoanalyst. She taught language and literature at the university level, and ran a literature discussion group for many years. She has discovered many parallels between literary analysis and psychoanalysis. And psychoanalysis, in turn, became her doorway to Being. She has been a student of the Diamond Approach® since 1994.
